Join communities across Iowa in cleaning up our streets, rivers, and public spaces!
Join communities across Iowa in participating in Pick-Up Iowa in support of Great American Cleanup.
Your community may participate by cleaning up litter and trash along Iowa’s roadsides, neighborhoods, streets, school grounds, parks, forests, and streams.
The first 35 communities who sign up will be eligible for a $50 reimbursement for purchases made to aid their pick-up event. Qualifying purchases may include trash bags, gloves, litter grabbers, or food and beverages for volunteers. Watch here for more details about how to sign up in early 2025.
Who may participate?
Cities, community and civic associations, high schools, middle schools, elementary schools, church groups, youth groups, youth/high school/college sports teams, college groups, families and friends, business employees, hunting and fishing clubs, Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts, 4-H, Future Farmers of America, conservation organizations, and others can organize their members and participate in Pick-Up Iowa.

What is Pick-Up Iowa?
Pick-Up Iowa is part of Keep America Beautiful’s Great American Cleanup the nation’s largest community improvement program. It is estimated 20,000 communities participate nationwide each year.
